सामान्यतः त्रिवेणी का अर्थ तीन नदियों के संगम से है. त्रिवेणी का वास्तविक अर्थ है, जहाँ तीनों नाड़ियाँ मिलती हैं. यह स्थान सहस्त्रार चक्र पर स्थित होता है. यहाँ पर मन के पहुँचने पर ही मुक्ति मिलती है.
