केंद्र सरकार ने पैन कार्ड को आधार कार्ड के साथ लिंक करने की डेडलाइन को 30 जून 2021 से बढ़ाकर 30 सितंबर 2021 कर दी है. इस डेडलाइन तक अगर आप अपना पैन और आधार को लिंक नहीं करते हैं तो आपका पैन कार्ड इनऑपरेटिव हो जाएगा. यानी यह काम नहीं करेगा. सरकार ने इनकम टैक्स रिटर्न फाइल करने की आखिरी तारीख को 30 सितंबर तक बढ़ा दिया है. अगर कोई टैक्सपेयर इस डेडलाइन तक रिटर्न फाइल नहीं करता है तो वह रिटर्न फाइल नहीं कर पाएगा. आगे जुर्माना वसूला जाएगा.
For the financial year 2020-21, the deadline to file income tax return (ITR) is September 30, 2021 (it was extended from the usual deadline of July 31, 2021 due to the pandemic). Till last year, if a taxpayer missed the ITR filing deadline, the maximum penalty he/she would have had to pay was Rs 10, 000. However, with effect from FY 2020-21, the penalty amount has been reduced by half, i.e., a person filing belated ITR will have to pay a penalty of up to Rs 5,000.
