महानगर को पानी की आपूर्ति करने वाली सातों झीलों (अपर वैतरणा, मोडक सागर, तानसा, मध्य वैतरणा, भातसा, विहार व तुलसी) में लगभग 93 प्रतिशत पानी जमा हो गया है। इससे अगले वर्ष मई, 2022 तक आसानी से मुंबई में पानी की आपूर्ति की जा सकेगी. अगस्त में झील क्षेत्रों में औसत बारिश हुई है, जबकि जुलाई में रेकार्ड बारिश हुई थी, जिससे झीलों में जलस्तर काफी अच्छा है
The water level in the seven lakes supplying drinking water to the city has gone above 92%, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) data. This indicates that the city has ample amount of water till the next one year and is unlikely to have any water cuts.
