कालाहांडी के रहने वाले पटायत साहू की जिंदगी इस हरियाली को समर्पित है. 65 साल के पटायत साहू का दिन इस बागीचे में बीतता है. यहां लगे पौधे उनके परिवार के सदस्य की तरह हैं. औषधीय गुणों से भरपूर इन पौधों की एक एक खासियत पटायत की जुबान पर रहती है. मेडिसन प्लांट का ये बागीचा ही पटायत साहू के लिए सबकुछ है. लोगों में मेडिसन प्लांट की समझ विकसित हो और इन पौधों से लोगों का जुड़ाव हो सके. इसके लिए पटायत ने इसे अपना मिशन बना लिया है.
A 65-year-old man from Odisha's Kalahandi district was hailed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for planting over 3,000 medicinal plants spread over 1.5 acres of land. A resident of Nandol village, Patayat Sahu, grew the plants using organic manure instead of chemical fertilizers.A farmer by occupation, Sahu helps the locals and villagers with treating their diseases.
