बैंकॉक में कोरोना ने लगाया टैक्सियों पर ब्रेक, खड़ी कारों पर उग रही हैं सब्जियां

बैंकॉक में टैक्सियों की छतों पर पौधे और सब्जियां उगाने की शुरुआत हुई है. ये अनूठी पहल टैक्सी ड्राइवरों के लिए कैसे मददगार साबित हो रही है. थाईलैंड की राजधानी बैंकॉक में कभी ये टैक्सियां सड़कों पर सरपट दौड़ा करती थीं. लेकिन कोरोना महामारी ने इन गाड़ियों की रफ्तार पर ब्रेक लगा दिया. कोरोना की वजह से थाईलैंड का टैक्सी व्यवसाय खासा प्रभावित हुआ और ये टैक्सियां गैराज में ही कैद रहने को मजबूर हो गईं.

The pandemic has taken a toll on almost all aspects of life. Especially in the travel and tourism industry as the Covid lockdowns force people to stay at home. However, one needs to survive and to survive one has to find a way of breaking the economic impasse. The taxi stands across Bangkok with nearly 2,000 cars from cooperative fleets that have been standing idle since the onset of the pandemic. The drivers have no income because there were no tourists as countries sealed borders, and even the locals weren’t stepping out because of the Covid-induced lockdowns.
