भारत में डायबिटीज मरीजों की संख्या (Diabetes cases in India) एक बार फिर दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा हो गई है. देश में डायबिटीज मरीजों की संख्या अब 10 करोड़ से ज्यादा हो गई है. यह बहुत ही गंभीर स्थिति है. मरीजों की बढ़ती संख्या का आंकड़ा यूके मेडिकल जर्नल में पब्लिश किया गया है. इस रिपोर्ट को इंडियन काउंसिल ऑफ मेडिकल रिसर्च (ICMR) ने तैयार किया है. ICMR की स्टडी रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत में डायबिटीज मरीजों की संख्या 10.1 करोड़ यानी 101 मिलियन से भी ज्यादा हो गई है. 2019 में मरीजों की संख्या 7 करोड़ थी. पिछले 4 सालों में मरीजों की संख्या में 44 प्रतिशत का उछाल आया है. कुछ विकसित राज्यों में डायबिटीज मरीजों की यह संख्या स्थिर हो रही है, वहीं कुछ राज्यों में डायबिटीज मरीजों की संख्या कई गुणा तेजी से बढ़ गई है.
