देश के लाखों दिहाड़ी मजदूर हैं जो रोजाना मिलने वाली मजदूरी से अपना घर-परिवार चलाते हैं. उनके जीवन स्तर को सुधारने और उनको गरीबी से निकालने के लिए सरकार बड़ी योजना बना रही है. इसके तहत श्रम मंत्रालय न्‍यूनतम मजदूरी की परिभाषा बदलने पर भी विचार कर रहा है.
