मुंबई के माटुंगा में बीएमसी का ये स्कूल है. जहां बच्चों को स्कूल की छत पर ना केवल फल-सब्जी उगाने का तरीका बताया जा रहा है, बल्कि इनका इस्तेमाल मिड डे मील में भी हो रहा है. इस योजना को बीएमसी उद्यान विभाग के सहयोग से शुरू किया गया. सिटी गार्डनिंग प्रोजेक्ट के तहत करीब 250 स्कूलों में गार्डनिंग का लक्ष्य रखा गया. बच्चों को पढ़ाई के अलावा छोटी-मोटी खेती का पाठ पढ़ाती ये खास पहल माटुंगा और चेंबूर के बीएमसी स्कूल में शुरू हुई.
This is a BMC school in Matunga, Mumbai. Where children are not only being told how to grow fruits and vegetables on the roof of the school, but they are also being used in the mid-day meal. This scheme was started in collaboration with BMC Horticulture Department. Under the City Gardening Project, a target was set for gardening in about 250 schools. Apart from studies, this special initiative to teach small farming lessons to children started in BMC schools of Matunga and Chembur.
