जम्मू कश्मीर का बांदीपोरा आत्मनिर्भर भारत की मिसाल कायम कर रहा है. यहां कि महिलाओं को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के गुर सिखाए जा रहे हैं. वहां कई महिलाओं को सिलाई करने वाली मशीन चलाने के ट्रेनिंग दी जा रही है. इतना ही नहीं महिलाएं कढ़ाई भी सीख रही हैं. इस टेलरिंग सेंटर में दूर-दूर के गांवों की महिलाएं पहुंच रही हैं और ट्रेनर की मदद से सलवार सूट से लेकर लहंगा चुन्नी और हर तरह के परिधान की कटिंग और स्टिचिंग का हुनर सीख रही हैं. सिलाई कढ़ाई के काम में निपुड़ हो जाने के बाद ये महिलाएं खुद के रोजगार का सृजन करेंगी और अपने पैरों पर खड़े होकर घर के खर्चे में हाथ बंटाएंगी.

After becoming adept in the work of sewing and embroidery, these women will create their own employment and stand on their own feet and help in the household expenses.
