स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण 2023 में प्रदेश के वारणसी और प्रयागराज को स्वच्छ गंगा शहर के रूप में पहला और दूसरा स्थान मिला है. इन दोनों शहरों को स्वच्छता में उनके समर्पण के लिए राष्ट्रपति द्वारा पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया. वारणसी को थ्री स्टार गार्बेज फ्री सिटी रेटिंग तथा प्रयागराज को वाटर प्लस सिटी का दर्जा भी मिला है.
In the Swachh Survekshan 2023, Varanasi and Prayagraj of the state have got the first and second position as clean Ganga cities. Both these cities were honored with awards by the President for their dedication towards cleanliness. Varanasi has also got the three star garbage free city rating and Prayagraj has also got the status of water plus city.
