सीजन के पहले चक्रवाती तूफान रेमल की बात करते हैं जो कि बंगाल की खाड़ी में उठा है. मौसम विभाग अनुसार बंगाल की खाड़ी में उठ रहा ये चक्रवाती तूफान 26 मई को एक गंभीर चक्रवात के रूप में पश्चिम बंगाल और पड़ोसी देश बांग्लादेश के तटों से टकरा सकता है. इस दौरान पश्चिम बंगाल के कुछ जिलों में 80 से 100 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से और बांग्लादेश में 100 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से हवा चलने और भारी बारिश की आशंका जताई गई है. इस चक्रवाती तूफान को देखते हुए बंगाल के पूर्व मेदिनीपुर, दक्षिण और उत्तर 24 परगना में प्रशासन ने तैयारी तेज कर दी है.
