लोग लंबे समय से ये सवाल पूछते आ रहे हैं कि धरती पर पहले अंडा आया या मुर्गी? इसको लेकर अलग अलग दावे किए जाते रहे हैं. लेकिन अब एक नई रिसर्च में वैज्ञानिकों इस पहेली को सुलझाने का दावा किया है. यूके में ब्रिस्टल यूनिवर्सिटी के रिसर्चर्स ने पहले मुर्गी आई या अंडा, वर्षों से लोगों को कंफ्यूजन में डालने वाले इस सवाल का जवाब ढूंढ निकाला है. वैज्ञानिकों का मानना है कि आधुनिक पक्षियों और सरीसृपों के शुरुआती पूर्वजों ने अंडे देने के बजाय जीवित बच्चों को जन्म दिया होगा, यानी धरती पर पहले अंडा नहीं बल्कि मुर्गा-मुर्गी आए होंगे. रिसर्च की पूरी जानकारी देने वाली ये स्टडी नेचर इकोलॉजी एंड इवोल्यूशन जर्नल में प्रकाशित हुई है. स्टडी में दावा किया गया है कि हजारों साल पहले मुर्गा-मुर्गी ऐसे नहीं होते थे जैसे आज हैं. रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, मुर्गा-मुर्गी के शुरुआती पूर्वज अंडे नहीं बल्कि पूर्ण विकसित बच्चों को जन्म देते होंगे, समय के साथ इनमें लगातार बदलाव आता गया.

This study giving complete information about the research has been published in the journal Nature Ecology and Evolution. It has been claimed in the study that thousands of years ago, chickens were not like they are today. According to the report, the early ancestors of chicken and hen would not have given birth to eggs but to fully developed children, which changed continuously over time.
