On Monday, Maharashtra witnessed a statewide Bandh over the Lakhimpur violence incident. The three-party Maharashtra Vikas Agadi (MVA) alliance including NCP, Congress, and Shiv Sena came in support of farmers and has given a call for a statewide bandh to protest the killing of four farmers in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri. Notably, eight people were killed in the violence at Tikunia, nearly 70 km from Lakhimpur Kheri district headquarters.
