पूर्व दिशा या ईशान कोण में एक चौकी रखें. चौकी पर लाल या गुलाबी वस्त्र बिछाएं. पहले गणेश जी की मूर्ति रक्खें, फिर उनके दाहिने और लक्ष्मी जी को रखें. आसान पर बैठें और अपने चारों और जल छिड़क लें. इसके बाद संकल्प लेकर पूजा आरम्भ करें.
