शिव जी श्मशान में ही विद्यमान रहते हैं. वहीं भस्म रमाते हैं. इसके अलावा वो संहार और मुक्ति मोक्ष के देवता भी हैं. श्मशान में उनकी मूर्ति, व्यक्ति मुक्ति के मार्ग पर जाने को प्रेरित करती है.
Lord Shiva remains present in the crematorium only. The ashes are burnt there. Apart from this, he is also the god of destruction and liberation. His statue in the crematorium inspires a person to go on the path of salvation.
