कार्यक्रम में सबसे पहले आज सबसे पहले बात उन क्रांतिवीरों की होगी, जिनके बलिदान ने देश में आजादी की ऐसी अलग जगाई कि अंग्रेजों की जड़ें हिल गई. आज 10 मई है यानि भारत के इतिहास का वो महत्वपूर्ण दिन जब 1857 की क्रांति की अमिट दास्तां लिखी गई. ये ही वो दिन था जब देश के वीर सपूतों ने आजादी का बिगुल बजा दिया था. ब्रिटिश हुकूमत पर वीर सपूतों के हल्ला बोल ने पूरी ब्रिटिश हुकूमत को हिला कर रख दिया. आज़ादी की पहली जंग की गवाह बनी थी मेरठ की सरजमीं.
