असम में सैलाब के सितम के बीच सेना, NDRF और बचाव दलों के जवान देवदूत बनकर लोगों के बचाव में जुटे हैं. सेना, सीआरपीएफ, बीएसएफ, एनडीआरएफ और एसडीआरएफ की टीमें असम के कछार, सिलचर समेत तमाम इलाकों में बचाव अभियान चला रहे हैं. खबर है कि राज्य की दो प्रमुख नदियों ब्रह्मपुत्र और बराक का जलस्तर लगातार बढ़ने से नये इलाकों में बाढ़ का पानी भरने लगा है. असम में 32 जिलों के 54 लाख से ज्यादा लोग बाढ़ से प्रभावित हुए हैं. करीब 3 लाख लोगों ने राहत शिविरों में पनाह ली है. बाढ़ प्रभावित इलाकों में सेना के अलावा NDRF, SDRF, फायर ब्रिगेड और इमरजेंसी सर्विसेज के जवान राहत-बचाव में लगे हुए हैं.
