R. Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer benefited greatly after performing well in the Test series against Bangladesh. In the ICC rankings for Test bowlers, Ashwin moved up one place to join Bumrah in fourth place. While Iyer took entry in the top 20 in the batsmen's rankings. He reached the 16th position.
